Bowl - Celadon and Slip - Reduction fired - F24

£40.00
sold out

Handmade wheel-thrown bowl in coarse stoneware with a celadon glaze and brushed white slip.

These are one-off pieces, thrown off the hump. The reduction atmosphere of the charcoal sagger inside the kiln creates the colour from iron in the glaze.

Fired to cone 8 in a charcoal reduction firing saggar, then fired again to cone 6 in oxidation.

My maker's mark is brushed on the base in black underglaze after the foot ring has been turned by hand.
